Here are the updates about 9jeducation Siwes 2014 which am one of them below....

WEDNESDAY UPDATES:

On Wednesday, each team went to meet their Siwes coordinator which mine is Ezekiel Adeyinka. The following are the what we did; 

Ezekiel introduced us to opening of two online courses which are:introduction to computer science and English grammar and style at edx.org, which we all did. We are able to read some of the note while he helped us in downloading some videos for watching. Also we took the first test for Week one. The reading and exercise was interesting and I learnt a lot.                                  

The resume i wrote was corrected by Bro Ezekiel and Sodeeq and they explained a lot to me that it is not good to copy someone else resume in order to get good job.  Ezekiel mentioned some Another point:

•  That, all the thing you think you can do better should be written on the first line of your SKILLS. He said if you don't know something and it was included on your resume it can make someone to loose that job the person applied for because if questions is been asked and you cannot defend it. In conclusion, if you don't know something well don't include it to your resume.
• Another point was that, the same bullet should be used throughout the resume for listing your points. He said, the use of bullet in writing a resume was a good idea but you should learn how to use it very well to make it neat and well structured to entice the person that wanted to read your resume.
• He also said that any school included on the resume should be the one you collected a certificate from not the one you don't. 
• To crown it all, he said write everything you know you can do better than any other person i.e. something special in you should be included because you are selling yourself and don't forget......Don't copy someone resume it is not goooooooood.

Another program came on board which was more like a competition and it is called "CODING COMPETITION"

This program was taken by Sodiq Adeosun which scattered us and called the questions and the questions is viz;

WRITE A JAVA PROGRAM USING FOR LOOP TO COLLECT USERS NAME AND NUMBER AND THE NUMBER TYPED WILL DETERMINE THE NUMBER OF TIME THE NAME WILL APPEAR.

The winner for this competition was two person named TOMI AND BOBOYE and since both of them won another competition was introduced to both of the and BOBOYE won 500 naira call card.

YOU ARE HIGHLY WELCOME TO OLUWATOBILOBA'S BLOG WITH OPEN ARMS.OLUWATOBILOBA'S BLOG is a blog that is owned by a person called Odekunle Oluwatobi Alao one of the 9jeducation SIWES 2014 student.

MONDAY'S UPDATES

Firstly, we rented a generator and everything was put in order before we started fully. Chibuzor which was the one that taught us on Monday taught 6 students which are;

• OLUWATOBI
• TIMILEHIN
• BOBOYE
• TOMI
• DANIEL
• KEHINDE

He taught us how to write a good resume and showed us a good resume to copy and write it on our own. He shown us his work that used PowerPoint to designed and it was very fantastic because everybody was surprise that how come PowerPoint can perform those functions.

• He taught us how to use Adobe Photoshop to design but basically on how to edit a picture and also to perform the following operations;
• to change the background
• to remove pimples
• to change the smoothness of the body
• to change the brightness, contrast, color and the likes.

Less i forget, he showed and explained all the tools used in Adobe Photoshop.

                                                    

                                         CLOSING PERIOD

We left the place around after 4 has concluded and we sent the updates.

TODAY'S UPDATE FOR SIWES

Firstly, we rented a Generator and everything was put in order before we started fully. After that, our siwes coordinator Ezekiel taught us the following;

• How to write a good resume in order to get a good job:  He told us that there are some people that don't get job due to their resume that is not well structured and he taught us how to write a well and good resume .
• He taught us how to create a blog and also how to edit the blog:He explained the meaning of blogging to us and explain in details how to blog and how to use to improve own`s writing skills. To crown it all, the big of all, he explained how to make money in bloging
• He asked us to create a personal blog on our own to give an update of what we learnt today.
• He also taught us how to create a page on Google site. 

ANOTHER PROGRAM BY SODIQ WHICH WAS CALLED CODING COMPETITION

Sodiq scattered everybody simply because of the competition in order to disturb us from cheating one another.

He gave us two questions which was basically on loop and we all attempted the questions and did the corrections to everybody because we don't it right.
